I began struggling with my weight when I got the age of about 45. From 18 years to about 35, I could eat pretty much anything I wanted; hamburger’s, french fries, onion rings, ice cream, soda, beer, potato chips; the list goes on and on!
Even though I have always been very physically active, I noticed that, there was a change taking place in my body, one that I did not completely understand. I used to be able to run, or go to gym to lose those extra pounds, but found it was becoming more and more difficult to keep myself in shape.
I am now 62 years old and in pretty good shape; most people comment that I don’t look that old. What changed you may ask; I changed the way I looked at food, nutrition and exercise. When my body began to age, I needed to change to match those changes, and realized I could live healthy, happy, and free of the excess fat, not just from exercise, but from some lifestyle changes which included a greater understanding of good food, and nutrition.
Shock! There was no single pill to provide a new skinny 25-year-old me!
